Supima Cotton Off the Shoulder Top

Supima Cotton Off the Shoulder Top

We're still seeing lots of variations of the "cold" shoulder in the recent trends. Whether it's one shoulder, cold shoulder, off the shoulder or somewhere in between, these styles are still popular and in no rush to disappear.

Not all off the shoulder tops are made the same. Have you noticed? Depending on the style, fabric and elastic these tops can fit very differently. One issue you can encounter is having the elastic top bunch up on you. Continuously pulling down your shirt can be a hassle. You also want to have movement of your arms. There's nothing worse than not being able to move your arms because your top is too constraining. That simply will not do.

So I wanted to share this recent purchase with you. I picked up this top at Banana Republic recently. It is not only comfortable but also flattering and versatile. I was a little unsure at first because I ordered it online and was afraid it might be too wide combined with the large sleeves leaving an overwhelming and unflattering feeling. Turns out, not the case at all. The top is streamlined and the neckline offsets any feeling of the top being overwhelming. Additionally the long tie sleeves help to keep the top and neckline in place.

So if you've been unsatisfied with the off the shoulder trend, this might be a top worth checking out. It's currently available in 3 colors/prints and at a very reasonable price point. Happy Shopping!

A Jacket That Tops Your Outfit

Now that you’ve finally put your winter coats away… what are you wearing? The weather is getting warmer but not quite warm enough to ditch the jacket completely. So we need to have a lightweight jacket in our arsenal… and maybe more than one.

We definitely need a rain jacket with a hood. We might want a stylish moto jacket for those cool nights out. We could use a nice coat/trench for those more formal occasions. How many jackets am I up to? Oh and I haven’t even included blazer or sweater jackets! And what about that classic denim jacket!

For all the jackets that I've mentioned so far, there are still more. There's the recently popular kimono jacket, the classic utility jacket and the trendy cropped jacket. And even more, I'm sure. With so many different choices in styles, you are sure to find one that will suit your personal preferences.

I do feel like the right jacket can add to your outfit. Personally I hate when I’m all dressed up with a super cute outfit and then I have to throw on an ugly rain jacket and ruin it. I can’t have that. So my rain jacket has to be cute too.

I’m currently in the market for a cute new rain jacket. The one I have served me well for years from Banana Republic but it’s time has come to be retired. So I want something fashionable and functional. Functional is key when it comes to jackets. I rely on jacket pockets for my keys and that extra tissue storage. I can’t just have a hood, I need drawstrings. I’m particular. But I think that’s ok. You need to know what you want and make sure you get those things in your jacket so it will not only be functional but last you for a few seasons… maybe even a few years.

If you’re looking for a new jacket, here are a few options that caught my eye this season. Find the one that’s right for you!
