I recently took a trip to Europe where I kept a keen eye out for all the latest fashion trends. One that caught my eye and which I kept seeing over and over was the white platform oxford.
This picture was taken in the lobby of a hotel in Madrid. These shoes are hot in Europe right now and I've seen variations of them in South America as well. Just recently, I've started to see them here. With the warmer weather headed this way, I think we'll be seeing more sandal versions of this style over the coming months. The oxford style seen above is popular at a variety of price points from high end Stella McCartney to a more reasonable Sol Sana. The sandal versions are incorporating the white platform at a range of price points. Basically there is something for everyone.
In my experience, you either love or hate this style. And that's ok. It might not be for you. But it is worth taking a second look if you have any interest at all since the white plaform makes for a comfortable and stylish shoe. I have a feeling we'll be seeing quite a few variations of this style coming this summer. Keep an open mind if you're not sure. You might be surpised to find that there is a version just right for you!
