Finally it looks like the temps are going to warm up and spring might be here to stay! Let’s hope! The stores are definitely screaming spring. The colors are both soft and bold making for great color combinations. It also appeals to a larger range of complexions. Not all colors work great for everyone! I love the way white looks on me but I know that it doesn’t work for all of my clients. There are also endless shades of white and every other color. And that means that while one shade of white might not work for you, another might!
One of the most popular bold colors of spring is coral! I know that so many of us have closets full of neutrals. They’re so easy to wear and pair. I get it. But believe me, a little color can go a long way. The right bright and bold color can not only life your spirits, it can make your complexion shine. Are you skeptical? Try it. Stand in front of your mirror at home and hold up a white t-shirt. Then find a brightly colored clothing item and hold it up to your face. Do you see a difference? Do you see your skin glow and your complexion pop? It works. Try it!
No brightly colored items in your closet to compare? Try it in a fitting room! Grab a bunch of different brightly colored items… plum, cobalt, coral, magenta, ect. Try a whole bunch to find the one that’s right for you. There are lots to choose from now. See how the color flatters your face. What if you can’t find an item that works for you in one of these colors? Not to worry… an accessory near your face can have the same affect. Try a scarf or a necklace in a bright hue. This will also work for those of you who are still unsure about purchasing a brightly colored sweater that will only sit in your closet because you’re not feeling it yet. And that’s ok. You want to feel confident and bold in your wardrobe in whatever way that works for you. I’m here to give you options. The ultimate decision is yours!
For those of you who are into the bright bold colors of spring, try coral in your wardrobe. This looks great paired with all shades of blue and purple. Pair this color with white and coral can really pop and make a statement. Grey makes a great combination as well. I personally love coral paired with navy as seen here:
This coral top has been in my closet for years. I love pieces like this that can transcend trends and work from one season to the next.
