Prints on pants come in a variety of different styles. I've recently been seeing everything from paisley to geometric to floral prints and more on pants. Before you dive into this trend, take a minute to consider whether this style is really right for you. As I've mentioned before, not every style and trends works for everybody. You want to be critical about your wardrobe and buy the items that work best for you.
When it comes to prints in general there are a few things to keep in mind. Generally, smaller prints will work better for most body types. In particular, a petite frame will look better in a smaller print. A larger print will look overwhelming on a small frame. A larger print will also draw attention so if you are trying to accentuate your top and minimize your bottom, large print pants are not the way to go.
If a large print bottom works for you, keep your other pieces simple. This is not to say that you can't pair prints with other prints. You absolutely can. But with a larger print, you will want to keep any other prints smaller. Let the larger print be the one stand out piece. You want to keep your look polished. You can also do this by trying to find a color that might be hiding in the background of a larger print and bring it out by pairing that item with another piece in that particular color.
If a larger print is not for you, try something smaller. A smaller geometric print can work for most body types. If you're still feeling self conscious about drawing attention to your pants, you may find that a print in the same color as the pants will work for you. A monochromatic print can add detail without volume. It is also easy to pair with other items allowing it to go further in your wardrobe.
