It's the middle of October already! I hate to think about it but I know the Holidays are coming. I'm already starting to get the holiday catalogs delivered. Especially for the kids! Soon we will start thinking about what we're going to wear to that company Holiday party or the family Christmas gathering. It helps to think about these things in advance so we have time to shop at leisure and potentially find items on sale that might work for us. This is clearly preferred to the last minute stress shopping where we spend way too much on an outfit we think looks only "okay".
Another thing we start thinking about now is our Holiday card. I love the tradition of sending Holiday cards. I get excited to find one in my mailbox! My favorite ones are clearly the photo cards. I love seeing pictures of friends and family and I have a tradition of placing them all on my wall to admire during the Holiday season.
In some cases, families actually dress up and try their best to pose for a photo that can be use on a holiday card. These are the families that really have their act together! I've recently been asked to help a family coordinate their outfit for their Holiday card photo. This was such an interesting challenge for me! It happened to be a new client so I was starting from zero. (By this I mean, I wasn't familiar with her closet. It's easier for me to make recommendations for clients that I've previously worked with and have familiarity with their wardrobe.) She had some great ideas but was looking for a little direction.
