Suede Pumps

I have such a love/hate relationship with suede pumps. I absolutely love the look of a colorful suede pump. It can totally make an outfit. But you are somewhat limited to where and when you can wear these gorgeous shoes as they can get dirty so easy and then be really hard to clean. Clearly it's not a good idea to wear these in the rain. But you really don't want these to be outside in any inclement weather. Or for that matter when the ground is wet. (Puddles or snow puts a damper on our shoe choices!)

With all that said, I do in fact think that they are a versatile item that can go far in your wardrobe. First off they add texture to an outfit. They can also add a great pop of color. Currently there is a variety of suede pumps on the market at all price points, in all colors with all different heel heights. If you've been considering the purchase, now might be the time.

If you're hesitant because you fear that they won't match your wardrobe, I would re-think that. Just because you buy a pair of purple suede pumps does not mean that you have to wear all black. You can actually wear them with just about anything. It might not be your first instinct to pair a purple pump with your blue gray suit dress but I think that might just be the lift that it needs. Can you pair it with a pattern? Absolutely!

The picture below of Kate Beckinsale is a perfect example. She has incorporated 3 textures and a print into her flawless outfit, which includes suede pumps!

If you're in the market to make a purchase, here are a few suede pumps to choose from!
