US Open

Inspiration at the US Open...

I had the opportunity to go to the US Open this past weekend. I'm definitely a tennis fan and this was a dream come true for me. Besides the amazing tennis, I also took in all the fantastic people watching. And as you can probably imagine, the styles varied immensely and did not disappoint. The crowd was as beautiful mix of colors, styles, fabrics and fashion that represents the diversity of tennis fans.

If you're wondering what I wore to attend this sporting event, I chose to go with white jeans (yes, even after labor day) from Ann Taylor, a blue and white striped top and jacket from J. Crew and flip flips from Tory Burch. I was comfortable and stylish! Perfect combination for this event.

Seeing the Women's Final was riveting. There was an excitement and energy in the stadium that was incredibly positive. Throughout the match, Sloane Stephens carried herself with such strong confidence that I immediately admired and supported her. I believe in the importance of how we carry ourselves as women. This blog is meant to help empower women to be confident, strong and powerful. Sloane Stephens embraces these qualities effortlessly at the young age of 24.

I was stunned by the maturity, empathy and confidence displayed by Sloane Stephens. I had tears in my eyes when she hugged her mother after her win and love in my heart when she hugged her opponent and good friend. This is something for all of us as women to aspire to. Let's remember to hold each other up, support our opponents, appreciate those that helped to get us there and always carry ourselves with confidence.
